1. SUMMER A LA CARTE MENU
Nigel’s new Summer a la carte menu was launched in the restaurant last week. Once again you see Nigel’s respect of the seasons giving you the opportunity to enjoy amazing produce at its peak of freshness and ripeness. Releasing outstanding flavours as he develops innovative dishes that reflect his roots using whereever possible the provenance of our region.

Featuring seasonal highlights such as – Native Lobster Tails, Lovage Soup, Tartare of Bowland Beef, Wild Lytham Seabass, Roe Buck, Fillet of Veal, Goosnargh Duckling, Young Tender Leeks and Fennel Bulbs, Samphire, along with tempting desserts – Queen of Puddings Soufflé, Gooseberry Possett, Delice of Valrohna Chocolate and Strawberry Jelly.

3. NEW BBQ MENU AT THE THREE FISHES

4. COOKERY DAY - SIZZLING BBQ'S - EATING AL FRESCO

5. UPDATE ON THE LATEST REFURBISHMENT AT NORTHCOTE MANOR
We are pleased to announce we have completed the first phase of our refurbishment programme.
Northcote begins it’s twenty first year with a new feeling, keeping all the characteristics of The Manor with some twenty first century changes that we hope you all enjoy.

- The bar has moved! This now opens up the bay window giving lovely views of the Northcote Gardens
- A new fresh and stylish charm in the restaurant
- A much needed upgrade to the wash room facilities

6. THE THREE FISHES INVITE WHALLEY CRICKET CLUB JUNIOR SECTION FOR TEA
IN THEIR NEW KIT SPONSORED BY THE THREE FISHES
It was wonderful to welcome the junior cricket teams of Whalley Cricket Club to enjoy our award winning children’s menu. Team work is something we all pride ourselves on and this young gathering of sporting boys and girls looked the part in their new kit.

7. CHILDREN'S COMPETITION WINNER
 Lydia, age 10 is the winner of the latest Art competition to draw a fish. Craig and Nigel presented Lydia with a fabulous art kit, so she can continue to develop her talent as a budding artist. And, Lydia was able to treat the whole family for lunch at the Three Fishes as part of her prize.
The new competition has now started at the Three Fishes, where our young friends are invited to draw a vegetable character, when they complete the new quiz sheet at the pub.
The next winner will be drawn at the end of August – so make sure your picture’s entered by then!

We are looking for dedicated young individuals with a passion to exceed within the catering and hotel industry. This is a demanding programme that needs a high level of commitment in terms of time and study – but the rewards can be great as we have proved with many of our apprentices becoming leaders of their field in our industry.

New Position – Restaurant Liaison Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated person to join the Sales and Marketing Team in an interesting and varied role. This is a newly created position and requires an individual who would care about developing this responsible role in communicating to our customers.
You would need to possess good computer skills with knowledge of word and excel, a professional and friendly telephone manner, and a background in quality food operations and hospitality would be an advantage.
Duties Include:
- Administration of restaurant bookings, menus and client information
- Managing the Restaurant Reservation System and customer database
- Liaising with customers and improving customer service at all levels
