Look Who's Cooking Dinner

LOOK WHO’S COOKING DINNER – CHARITY EVENT OF THE YEAR
4TH FEBRUARY 2008
RAISES AN ASTONISHING £40,000 FOR CHRISTIE HOSPITAL

Christie's

It’s the “Who’s Who?” of Chefs to end all celebrity gatherings.

18 of our top Northern talents joined forces for one night only. And not one of them earned a bean for their efforts!

This was the first “Look Who’s Cooking Dinner” in the North…and event designed to contribute serious funds to the building of Christie’s planned £35 million patient facility.

Nigel spearheaded the organisation, cajoling his fellow chefs – all with connections to the North – into leaving their famous restaurants to each cook for one table of 10 guests. “They’ve been hand picked for their quality and passion, and for their commitment in wanting to help with this fantastic event for an incredible cause. I salute them all”

At the end of the evening some of the chefs put themselves up for auction, offering their services to cook a dinner party for their successful bidder or exclusive invitations to stay and dine at their establishments.

Guests also enjoyed a special appearance from Darren Bennett and Lillia Kopylova from the “Strictly come Dancing” Show.

Caroline Shaw, Chief Executive of the Christie Hospital, said “ We are delighted that Racheline, Christie’s most successful individual fundraiser, has organised this fantastic fundraising event in support of this development of our hospital. The money raised will go towards a world class patient development which will bring huge benefits to our patients. We are grateful to all the chefs and their teams for giving their time and expertise to ensure that the event is a great success.”
