NORTHCOTE GARDENS

Andrew Mellin, joined Northcote Manor in April 2003 as Head Gardener, an enthusiastic organic gardener with over twenty years experience working in high standard gardens across the country. He is committed to organic gardening, with a wealth of knowledge of growing methods in relation to organic vegetables, herbs and fruit.

His employment history includes working for Sir Cameron Mackintosh, where he was involved with the creation of a multi million pound new garden project, which included Lakes, grotto, ryll garden along with the maintenance of the historic grade 1 garden. He also managed all the greenhouse work, production of salad crops and fresh herbs throughout the year. Andrew was also responsible for the fresh flower and plant arrangements for the house.

Prior to working for Sir Cameron, Andrew spent eight years as Head Gardener for Timeshare and Holiday cottages on the island of Tresco, Isles of Scilly and was responsible for the creation, maintenance and organization of 42 holiday cottage gardens, dealing with VIP's and when necessary for Prince and Princess of Wales at their holiday hideaway.
